Grandes Managers: Leon1912 [Interview]

Interviewer (PIPO68):

1º Presentation:
Age, real name, place of birth and current residence, that you study or work, likes and hobbies, etc, etc …

Leon1912

Leon19121º Hello, my name is Nikolay Prodanov and I am 46 years old. I was born and live in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. I have a university degree in economics and for 20 years I worked in trade as a company manager, which is associated with constant travel and business trips! For several years now, I have decided to change jobs to be closer to my family and especially to my daughter, who is new to puberty. That’s why I started in the banking business and I’m in charge of the Plovdiv office of a fast loan company. In my school years I trained chess and basketball, but my real passion is football. Besides Goleada, I play Hatrick and eRepublic. But my favorite game is the Heroes3 turn-based strategy game, which I play with friends.

Interviewer:

2º “Leon1912” does it have any special meaning for you?

Leon1912

2º Yes of course. Leon comes from the zodiac sign Leo, which I am, and 1912 is the year of creation of my favorite football team Botev Plovdiv and that is why Leon1912 🙂

Interviewer:

3º By your logo we can guess that your favorite club is Liverpool or by the name of your club Botev, tell us something about football … which teams do you like? Which player was or is your idol ?, perhaps Hristo Stoichkov or Luboslav Penev …

Leon1912

3º Stoichkov is a great Bulgarian football player, but my idol is another – Petar Zehtinski, captain and leader of Botev Plovdiv at the end of the last century, who led the modest Botev to memorable matches with Bayern Munich and Barcelona! Other of my favorite players are Robbie Fowler and Steven Gerald from Liverpool, as well as Van Basten, Dejan Savicevic and George Weah from Milan 🙂

Interviewer:

4º tell us an anecdote from your real life and another from Goleada, funny happy or sad, it doesn’t matter …

Leon1912

4º The most recent case I can think of is from before the last semifinal in the Goleada Champions League. Before my decisive semifinal, I had a protocol match from the championship, which I had already won. And instead of ticking off an attack, I let go of the motivation for the whole match. So I fucked myself, but the interesting thing is that until I found out what happened I got into a chamber of conspiracies. I believed and even wrote to Mitaka that someone joined my team and deliberately gave me the motivation to drop out of the Champions League :)))

And from real life, I will not forget the Champions League final between my favorite Milan and Liverpool, which I attended live in Istanbul. Needless to say, I was very happy that my two favorite teams were in the finals and I was set to watch the match without having any preferences over who would win. Maybe I was a little more for Liverpool, because then Milan regularly reached the final of the tournament and I thought that even if they lose, they will still be in the final. On the other hand, Liverpool reached the final unexpectedly and I thought they would not play in the final again soon. But at 3-0 at halftime, I just prayed that Liverpool would not be defeated after the great game of Milan. However, you all know what happened next – an incredible turnaround to 3: 3 and a victory with penalties for Liverpool. Interestingly, the two teams met again 2 years later in the final and this time I kept my fingers crossed for Milan, because Liverpool was already the better team and had most of the positions in the match. But fate had again decided the less played team to win and after 2-0, the cup flew to Milan.

Interviewer:

5ºBecause of your history in Goleada you must know the game well … What is the formula to get so high, any advice to the newest?

Leon1912

5º Yes, I am one of the first guests in the game that Mitaka created. The idea then was a group of hat-tricks players to be able to play our favorite matches and have a drink while watching them live! I had the honor to attend the walkthrough of this great game, which went very far from its original version. But the most important thing is for the new managers to understand the game well first and to have the patience to build their own team with their own style and style of play. I learned during the development of the game, as the algorithm was constantly changing and it was difficult to build any long-term strategy. But what motivated me was the big competition. I will not forget what contested matches we played with Jika (Okopcha) for the championship, as well as with RedStar in international tournaments. There were many other strong teams, but my rivalry with these two was cult and helped my development and to become what I am now in this great game!

Interviewer:

6º What would you change from the Goleada to improve it?

Leon1912

6ºNothing !!! Because at first I don’t understand programming, but also because I think Mitaka did more than well! Of course there will always be dissatisfied. Over the years, I myself have been a thorn in Mitaka’s side many times because I still didn’t like the changes. But without changes, the game would not have reached this level. Aside, it is very easy to give advice and intelligence. We don’t invest any time or money in developing the game and we can only be grateful to have it!
Of course, if I could, he might have changed one thing. This is when drawing young people with stout to pay attention to age. It is very unpleasant when you invest at max and withdraw a pensioner! It’s one thing to be unlucky and to draw a weaker player, but it’s another to draw a 20-year-old 3k!

Interviewer:

7º “This question only accepts a quick answer for each word, the first thing that comes to mind”

Leon1912

MOVIE THEATER: Anfield
SOCCER: Passion
FRIEND: Priceless
LOVE: Family
COLOR: Red
CITY: Plovdiv
GOLEADA: Fun
REDSTAR:Great

Interviewer:

8º You have been playing goals since season 1 and your most used strategies have been speed and defense … Anything to tell us? or just needs of each party itself

Leon1912

8º I have always strived to build my own style in the game! That’s why I refuse to play at the moment like most with attacks on the wings and centering. I think I’m proving that there is another way to play that I can compete with the best without using constant centering!
The other thing that keeps me motivated in the game (because I achieved everything in the game and at one time I lost motivation and was about to give up) is the new goal I set! I decided to build a strong team, only from native players! And what is more complicated is that there were only 2 teams that gave 3k for a scout and that made my task even more impossible! I don’t put here teams like Mitaka’s, with which the game keeps me connected for some reason and I can’t buy players from him and a few other managers. And against the background of the super little BG manager, this made my task even more difficult. But this motivates me even more to create my current team, which turned out to be the backbone of the national team and brought me the coveted first international title of the national team 🙂
And if I have coped with the challenge with my club team, let others solve it and say it!

The most important thing and for which I am grateful to Mitaka is that the game he created, in addition to entertaining me a lot, also brought me a lot of acquaintances and friendships. And this is priceless !!!

I finally managed to answer the questions from the interview. I wish I could handle the language. Therefore, if there is an error in the translation, I have given the answers in Bulgarian, so that no one is offended by a wrong translation with the Google translator 🙂
